Who we are

Sehaj is a daily Sikhi stories product. In this policy, "Sehaj", "we", "our", and "us" refer to the team that operates the Sehaj website, app, subscription, and support experience.

Information we collect

• Account information, such as email address, sign-in details, and authentication identifiers.
• Subscription and entitlement information, such as plan, purchase status, renewal status, and billing provider references.
• Practice data, such as saved reflections, story progress, downloads, language preferences, and notification settings.
• Support information you choose to send us, including messages, attachments, and contact details.
• Website and app diagnostics, such as device type, browser, app version, crash logs, basic usage events, and approximate region derived from network information.
• Marketing funnel data, such as quiz answers, email capture, checkout events, and analytics identifiers used to understand whether campaigns are working.

Sehaj does not need your contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, or photo library for its core reading, listening, and reflection experience.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account.
• To provide access to published Saakhis, audio downloads, saved reflections, and subscription features.
• To process purchases, renewals, refunds, and billing support.
• To send service messages, sign-in links or codes, receipts, and support replies.
• To improve product quality, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage.
• To measure acquisition and checkout performance for our web funnel.
• To comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and platform obligations.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate Sehaj. These may include Cloudflare for hosting and edge services, Supabase for authentication, database, and storage, Stripe or Polar for billing, Resend for email, and analytics or advertising measurement tools such as PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta Pixel or Conversions API where configured for the web funnel.

These providers process information for the purposes described in this policy and are expected to protect user data in line with their own obligations and our instructions.

Payments

Payment details are handled by the relevant app store or billing provider. Sehaj does not store full card numbers. We keep the minimum billing and entitlement records needed to provide access, support subscriptions, and satisfy accounting or legal obligations.

Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons. You can request account deletion from the app or through our account deletion page.

Your choices

• You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails where available.
• You can manage app permissions and notifications through your device settings.
• You can manage subscription billing through the relevant app store or billing portal.

Children

Sehaj is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Sehaj, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including managed authentication, HTTPS, access controls, and provider-level security controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

International use

Sehaj and our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. We take steps intended to protect information consistently with this policy when it is transferred or processed internationally.

Changes

We may update this policy as Sehaj changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, email, or platform listings.
